Synopsis: This documentary feature focuses on two Australian doctors, Dr Siraj Sira and Dr Sanjay Adusumilli, who volunteered to go on a medical mission to Gaza.
Filmed in real time with most of the footage captured by the doctors themselves, Until the Sky Falls Quiet is a rare and personal record of resilience, loss, and the human cost of bearing witness in the world’s largest ‘open air prison’.

Organisers: Avenoir Productions (Production company behind the documentary) and Healthcare Students for the Prevention of War - HSAPW Victoria is the Victorian student branch of the Medical Association for the Prevention of War. We live, study and work on beautiful Wurundjeri land (Naarm/Melbourne), and organise for the promotion of peace and prevention of war as matters of public health. We believe that healthcare workers have an important collective responsibility to advocate for anti-militarism in an era of increasingly authoritarian and imperial rule, and seek to bring together healthcare students who want to use their privilege and platform to advocate for a world where peace is the best medicine. This event is open to anyone - if you are interested in understanding more about Gaza, Palestine, human rights, humanitarian aid and advocacy work or the lived experiences of Palestinians, then please join us for this event. We are all-inclusive and this will be a safe space for everyone attending - any discrimination or racism will not be tolerated.

The documentary has been rated by the Australian Classification Board as MA15+ due to strong injury detail and disturbing images. This means that children under 15 may not legally watch the documentary unless they are in the company of a parent or adult guardian. If children under 15 would like to watch the film, then they must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian for the duration of the film and it is the parent or adult guardian who must also be the one purchasing the ticket.
Ticket sales go towards furthering the social impact, distribution and outreach of the documentary. It helps the filmmakers cover costs like further translations/subtitling to reach additional communities, venue hire for screenings, speaker fees, tech support fees, outreach costs, printing off flyers,etc so that they can continue to bring screenings to more communities on a "pay what you can" basis.
