Inviting all sapphics, lesbians and those alike to join us for an evening of queer ass poetry, food, music and wine! I am proud to announce the 3rd year of Sapphic Poetry: Pillow Talk. This is a space that prioritizes Sapphic Black and Brown Queers. Given limited capacity and resources please be mindful of this.
Pillow Talk is an open mic, while there is no central theme to what you can read, think lesbian, get sensual, be vulnerable. I can't wait to see you all! Alongside the poetry we will be getting into some serious crafting. Bring a project or start one here, supplies will be provided. Collaging, stamp making, book binding etc. Small bites will also be provided, but feel free to bring extra goodies! Share with your friends and RSVP for more info!

Affectionate Expressions is Chicago-based led by Morenike & Friends. We are dedicated to curating safe and intentional spaces for the city’s Black and Brown Queer community. From intimate poetry open mics to high-energy dance parties and community fundraisers, our events are designed to bring us together and celebrate our joy, creativity, vulnerability and resilience.
