Join us for a creative and hands on Kokedama Workshop tutored by Romaine Undery and discover the beautiful Japanese art of moss ball planting. For just $65 per person, enjoy a relaxed and inspiring 2 hour workshop where you’ll learn how to create your own stunning kokedama to take home.
Kokedama, meaning “moss ball,” is a centuries old Japanese gardening technique where plants are wrapped in soil and moss instead of being placed in traditional pots. In this guided session, Romaine will take you step by step through the entire process; from selecting and preparing your plant, shaping the soil mixture, wrapping with coconut fibre and binding with jute twine; to caring for your finished creation. You will then then make a beaded hanger to complement your Kokedama and take home a care card.
This workshop is perfect for beginners and plant lovers alike. No prior experience is needed, just bring your enthusiasm! All materials are supplied and you’ll leave with a beautiful, handcrafted kokedama ready to display in your home or gift to someone special.
